Spangdahlem rocks out Published March 6, 2009 By Andrew Rice 52nd Force Support Squadron SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- It is a long hard road; touring can be hard on the body, mind and soul. Fans are always out to meet and get an autograph with you. This is the life a Rock Star. The Brick House hosted the ultimate challenge for the rising Rock Stars, Project Cheer Rock Band Jam 2, Feb. 28, 2009 at Spangdahlem Air Base. After three Fridays in February fighting it out for a spot in the finals, three bands emerge as the challengers to be bested at Spangdahlem. The AFN Rockers, The Renegades and The Tainted Puppies played popular hits including Pinball Wizard, You Ought To Know, Almost Easy, Carry On My Wayward Son, My Own Worst Enemy and Peace Sells. After the dust settled there was one band that stood out, fought its way to the top and claimed its stake as the best Rock Band Jam 2 band at Spangdahlem AB. The Tainted Puppies are the 2009 Rock Band Jam 2 winners. The members are Senior Airman Nathan Crandall, 52nd Equipment Maintenance Squadron, and wife Jessica, Senior Airman Justin Lemmon, 52nd EMS, and wife Sarah. Their determined efforts earned them a $300 AAFES gift card and a complete Rock Band 2 system and game. Be proud Sabers we have true Rock Stars walking among us here.
