Come and explore the Eifel Published July 28, 2010 By Iris Reiff 52nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- The 52nd Fighter Wing commander offers Sabers time Aug. 6-8 to learn about the culture, history and daily life of the Eifel area. This year is the sixth annual Explore the Eifel fair, with more than 100 exhibitors providing tailored packages in English to Spangdahlem members and their families 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. July 30 in the Skelton Memorial Fitness Center. Mayors, community volunteers, and travel and tourist office agents will be available to hand out maps and pamphlets about travel opportunities in the Eifel area, the surrounding regions and destinations in Luxembourg and Belgium. Communities from the local area include Binsfeld, Spangdahlem, Speicher, Wittlich, Bruch, Bitburg, Trier and others. Maximum participation by base members is encouraged: Suggested, staggered attendance times for the ETE information fair are: - Medical Group: 9-11 a.m. - Mission Support Group: 11 a.m.-1p.m. - Maintenance Group: 1-3 p.m. - Operations Group: 3-5 p.m. - Others: 3-5 p.m. Our German neighbors look forward to seeing Sabers at the fair.
