Butzer Unit: 702nd Munitions Support Squadron Duty title: NCO in charge communication support Hometown: Wichita Falls, Texas Years in service: Six and a half years Why joined: I joined the Air Force to represent my country and family to the best of my abilities. I come from a long line of military service, and I wanted to keep that tradition going. Family: Shannon Butzer, wife, Doreen LaRue, mother, Senior Master Sgt. (Ret.) Donna Butzer, mother, and. Master Sgt. (Ret.) Conrad Butzer, father Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family. I also like to travel and visit many unique places in Germany and neighboring countries. Favorite aspect of job: I like the challenge of the everyday events at Buechel Air Base. Whether it is getting ready for an inspection or fixing computer and network related problems, I never know what is going to happen, day in and day out. I know that whatever comes at me, I will take it on full-force to complete the mission. Most memorable Air Force experience: The day that I was asked to be a part of the communication support team for the Air Education and Training Command Inspector General Inspection team. I was the first Senior Airman ever asked to serve and support in this honored role. I learned valuable information from the masters of other career fields in the Air Force. How do you make responsible choices: With every situation that happens in the Air Force I apply the "three L's" - Listen, Look, and Learn. I listen to what is going on, look at what the situation is and then learn from the good and bad of the outcome.
