Alexander Farver Unit: Armed Forces Network, Spangdahlem Duty title: Broadcast producer Hometown: Columbia, Pa. Years in Service: Five Why joined: I joined to start a career, and to be able to travel around the world. Family: Single Hobbies: Fishing, computers, racquetball, watching sports and traveling Favorite aspect of job: I love being able to do something different each day. With my job, I'm everywhere. I'm at the formal ceremony talking with Air Force leadership of yesterday and today. I'm also right there with security forces as they train to protect the base. I've seen it all in my five years. Most memorable Air Force experience: Videotaping joint training between Army Chinook choppers and Airmen on the ground. The helicopters were lifting bulldozers off the ground that Airmen were loading. I was right in the middle of it with the helicopter hovering above me close enough to touch. Afterward my camera and I were caked in mud, but it was awesome. How do you make responsible choices: I was fortunate enough to have had great NCO role models early in my career who taught me the importance of responsible choices. I was stationed in Korea, and it was very easy to see the difference between someone who was and was not making responsible choices. So I learned how to make responsible choices by watching others in my career make both. I decided I'd rather be on the right side of that coin.
