Years in Service: Two years Why joined: I joined the Air Force to further my education, pursue a better career path, and travel the world. Family: Wife, Kristina; sister, 2nd Lt. Charlene Rueben, 319th Medical Support Squadron from Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D.; mother, Kim; and father, Russ. Hobbies: I like golfing, traveling and spending time with my wife. Favorite aspect of job: One of the most worthwhile aspects of contracting is the people -- co-workers, customers and leadership. Having the opportunity to interact and learn from such intelligent and diverse people while providing essential needs for the base, makes contracting a valuable, rewarding career field to me. Most memorable Air Force experience: The day I graduated from basic training and got the opportunity to see my family for the first time as a proud member of the United States Air Force. How do you make responsible choices: Some ideas that come into my mind are: is it safe? is it legal? will it cause harm to others? After assessing all the feasible outcomes, I feel much more confident about making the most responsible decision.
