Super Saber Performer Published March 14, 2013 By Staff Reports 52nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Name: Staff Sgt. Will Robinson Unit: 372nd Training Squadron Detachment 17 Duty title: Micro Miniature Soldering instructor Hometown: Great Falls, Mont. Years in Service: Coming up on six years Why joined: Chance to travel. Plus, we get awesome school and retirement benefits. Family: My awesome girlfriend, Heather, came with me to Germany. She works over at the MVX. Hobbies: Metal detecting in the middle of an old war zone. I also have a marine fish/reef tank that I fiddle with. Favorite aspect of job: As a military member, it would have to be getting sent to all corners of the world ... and getting paid for it. My current job is cool, because I get to teach other Airmen. The 2M/MTR solder repair course is quite difficult. Most memorable Air Force experience: Getting orders to Germany ... wait basic! No, orders to Germany. I had just got off the bus after a deployment and the first thing my flight chief said to me was that I had orders. Kind of blindsided me! How do you make responsible choices: I do a lot of research and make pro's and con's list. I also know I can rely on Heather and my friends at work.
