SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- The Combined Federal Campaign recently kicked off here and will run until Dec. 15, 2018.
The CFC’s theme, “Show Some Love,” brands the campaign’s 57th year of providing opportunities for Department of Defense service members, civilian employees and families to donate to more than 2,600 international, national and public philanthropic organizations.
There are three options to give to a CFC charitable organization. Pledges can be made the traditional way, using a paper pledge card received from unit representatives. They can also be made through the online pledge assistant, which provides an electronic version of the pledge card, or e-Giving, a fully automated option.
“CFC provides help to those around the world in need,” said Capt. Drew Rontti, 52nd Maintenance Squadron flight commander. “Organizations, now more than ever, need people to support their different causes: human rights, disaster reliefs, healthcare, education - the list goes on and on. There are thousands of charities and causes to choose from.”
Both the online pledge assistant and e-Giving options can be found at http://www.cfcoverseas.org/. These programs can be accessed by clicking the "Please Give" tab or by clicking "For Contributors."
“I would ask everyone to reflect upon what they feel passionate about, because everyone has a CFC story,” said Col. Jason E. Bailey, 52nd Fighter Wing commander. “No matter what you give, any amount could potentially save someone’s life.”
