SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- You've heard of "Wing Sports Day" and you've been to an information fair.
But are you ready for "RUBUCan-B?"
RUBUCan-B? -- "Are You the Best You Can Be?" -- is a wing-wide resiliency day combining elements of Sports Day and an information fair into one event at the Eifel Powerhaus fitness center at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, June 24, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Spangdahlem's Airmen Against Drunk Driving program and the First Sergeants Council will host the event in coordination with the Health Promotions flight and the 52nd Fighter Wing community support coordinator.
RUBUCan-B? is the follow-up to last year's RUFit for Summer? information fair which took place at the Skelton Memorial Fitness Center. RUFit is a U.S. Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa initiative encouraging Airmen to cultivate a culture of balanced, holistic health, concerning four areas: mental, physical, social and spiritual resiliency.
The event kicks off with a 5K run at 11 a.m. at the fitness center and will close with a trophy ceremony at 4 p.m.
RUBUCan-B? will also feature information booths and interactive displays from agencies like the Airman & Family Readiness Center, the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment program, Family Advocacy, the base chapel, Gracie Self Defense, Saber Cycling, the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program, 52nd Security Forces Squadron, the running clinic, the Mental Health flight, Saber Driving Course, Zumba, MaxFit, and more.
The event is open to all base Airmen, family members and civilians and is an alternate-duty location to promote maximum participation.

Dodgeball: 1:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
1-Mile Timed Run: 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal Demonstration: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Combat Fit: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Zumba: 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Yoga: 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Foodie Friday Tasting: 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Spin Class: 12 p.m. / 3 p.m.
Gracie Self Defense: 1 p.m. / 2:30 p.m.
