Name: Dranel Garcia David

Unit: 52nd Maintenance Group

Duty title:
Lead Crew Member

Hometown: Guam

Years in Service: 4 years

Why joined: I joined the military for a stable life for my family, travel, see the world, and to serve my country.

Family: My family means a lot to me. Where I grew up, family is first and family is everything. My wife, Shannon, is also from Guam, my daughter, Kaia Mila, and our dog, Sir Winston Churchill. I'm not kidding, that's really his name.

Hobbies: My hobbies are mostly spending time with family, friends, and training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Favorite aspect of job: My favorite aspect of my job would be the camaraderie. In the weapons career field we work in crews of 3 or 4. So teamwork is a big deal.

Most memorable Air Force experience: The most memorable Air Force experience for me is demonstrating a weapons load for an international military audience during the Vienna Document. My crew and I had the opportunity to show the military delegates from different countries what our weapons crews are capable of.

How do you make responsible choices: I make responsible choices by knowing how to do the right thing. The fact that doing something irresponsible could lead to consequences and therefore ruin my career is something I am never willing to do to my family.
