Construction on the Eifel Mountain Golf Course clubhouse began June 2, 2014, to remodel the interior of the building.

The golf course will remain open and customers can still order takeout from the grill and purchase a limited number of items from the pro shop until the remodel is complete.

Clubhouse staff expect construction to end June 14, with full business resuming that day.

"Our golf course serves more than 41,000 meals each year and supports 4,000 rounds of golf played," said Tony Boob, 52nd Force Support Squadron Community Services Flight chief. "That amount of customer traffic each year definitely puts a lot of wear and tear on our facility."

The remodeled clubhouse will have new interior décor with different colors, paint, carpet and tile.

"We have $90,000 in local nonapproriated funds approved for the project," Boob said. "The money comes directly from revenues made in our force support squadron NAF activities. Basically, we are reinvesting the dollars generated by our loyal customer base who use the golf course for breakfast, lunch or for rounds of golf."

"I'm really excited for the reopening - I know our loyal customers will be impressed with the new look," said Bill Neff, 52nd FSS Eifel Mountain Golf Course manager. "I invite all Sabers to come out and see what we have done for their benefit."
