Tops in Blue, the premier entertainment showcase of the U.S. Air Force, will perform a free concert Sept. 9, at the Skelton Memorial Fitness Center at 7 p.m.
The musical group, composed of Airmen from various career fields, is currently on their 60th Anniversary tour of installations around the world.

"Tops in Blue serves as an expeditionary entertainment unit to provide quality entertainment from within Air Force resources for the Air Force family, with priority to Air Force personnel stationed worldwide at remote and deployed locations while simultaneously promoting community relations, supporting recruiting efforts and serving as ambassadors for the United States of America and the United States Air Force," reads the group's mission on their website.

"I have attended a concert before, and it was amazing," said U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Ashley Rains, a 52nd Communication Squadron client services technician from D'Iberville, Miss. "Their costumes and stage setup looked like it was movie-quality."

Spectators may take pictures of the group during the show, but flash photography is prohibited. There will also be a meet-and-greet session for the audience after the performance. No concessions will be sold at the show, and food and drinks are not permitted in the fitness center.

Parking will be available at the fitness center parking lot and additional parking is available at the movie theater, community center and the library.

The group has performed for heads of state and dignitaries throughout the world and has also toured throughout Europe, the Middle East, Central America, Asia and all 50 United States.

"If the first 60 years are any indication of what is to come, the next 60 years will exceed all expectations as Tops In Blue continues to bring a touch of home, a touch of America, and above all, the pride of the Air Force to all their audiences," a Tops in Blue representative stated on their website.
