Airmen achieve career milestone

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany - -- More than 100 Spangdahlem Airmen received their Community College of the Air Force diplomas during a graduation ceremony at the base theater April 24, 2015.

U.S. Air Force Col. Joe McFall, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, and U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Brian Gates, 52nd FW command chief, handed certificates to more than 40 of the graduates in attendance while congratulating them on their achievement.

"We talk a lot about innovation," McFall said. "Your ability to weigh both sides of a situation and to take in account all the pros and cons and come away with something that's better, is a direct bi-product of what you put into learning. So don't stop doing it and inevitably as a Saber Nation, as an Air Force, as a Nation we will get better, so I say congrats."
U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Diane Hansen, 52nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron superintendent, the guest speaker at the graduation ceremony conveyed the importance of embracing life's challenges.

"Your experience in what it takes to manage your time and effort to get through school and the number of ways it takes to get you there, you can help your fellow Airmen achieve this milestone," Hansen said.
