SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- The 52nd Medical Group welcomed a new commander during a change of command ceremony at Hangar One here July 10. Here is more information about him.

Name/Rank: U.S. Air Force Col. Alfred K. Flowers Jr.

Organization: 52nd Medical Group

Source of Commissioning: Officer Training School

Off-duty time is for: Time with my family, traveling and physical fitness

Previous assignments:
-August 2010 - June 2012: Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), Fellow, Defense Health Program, Pentagon, Washington D.C.
-July 2012 - July 2013: Executive Officer to the Air Force Surgeon General, Pentagon, Washington D.C.
-August 2013 - June 2015: Chief, Medical Support Operations Division, Air Force Medical Support Agency, Office of the Air Force Surgeon General, Defense Health Headquarters, Falls Church, Virginia
