The 2015 Trier Christmas Circus begins Dec. 22

The annual Trier Christmas Circus will offer hours of live entertainment for the whole family, Dec. 22, 2015, through Jan. 3, 2016 in Trier, Germany. The circus debut will be Dec. 22, starting at 7:30 p.m., featuring a gala evening in a holiday atmosphere. Additional circus performances take place daily at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m., on Sundays, shows take place at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. There will be no performances on Dec. 24 and Jan. 1, 2016.

Performance highlights:

Donnert-Family with Jockey Rider
The Donnert-Family comes from Hungary with a rapid and rousing Jockey cavalry in absolute perfection for Trier Christmas Circus. The modern circus was created by art cavalry and thus is one of the most authentic circus disciplines to date. With folkloric costumes and fiery Hungarian temper, the Donnerts swirl with their horses through the circus ring. For this unique performance, they received one of the coveted "Circus-Oscars", a silver clown at the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo.

Rico - reprises Clown
Clown Rico from Poland provides entertainment during the performance changes and is so to say the common thread in the program. He performs fun tricks and makes the audience laugh, guaranteed. Furthermore, he still has his dog-gang with him, a show highlight especially for the smaller guests.

Maria - Handstand Äquilibristik
Maria from Hungary presents hand-stand acrobatic acts in perfection. The charming performer shows most difficult tricks of equilibrium art. Strength, flexibility and grace, years of training were the requrement for this great handstand sensation.

Duo Thunders - pas de deux on horseback
The duo Donnert will present a "pas de deux on horseback" - an Andalusian romance story told on the back of two elegant cold-blooded horses; an artistic masterpiece with a lot of passion, absolute goosebumps moments.

ARTUR KAISER
Europe's largest and most species-rich exotic tableau. Antelope, Watusi cattle, a Scottish Highland cattle, bison, buffalo, camels, llamas, donkeys, African ostriches and more.
ARTUR KAISER combines all of these different animal species in Europe's largest and most diverse exotic tableau. Beauty, strength and charm of these exotic animals are at the forefront of human dressage performance. Only through a lot of confidence and empathy, it is possible to unite all the different characters in a dressage performance.

Michael & Dario Togni - Ikarian games
A classy Circus dynasty comes from the two young star-performers and Sonny Boys Michael and Dario Togni, whose great-grandfather Ferdinando Togni laid the foundation for the largest 3-arenas-Circus in Europe, the American Circus, who has also successfully toured in Germany. They completed the prestigious "Accademia del Circo" in Italy and have a diploma as certified artists. They present a very unusual discipline: Ikarian games. Jugglers will be juggling with people!

Duo Kovatchevi - Washington-trapeze
High among the Circus dome shows the duo Kovatchevi, a world-class performance artistry. Completely without any assurance be various lifting figures change with Voltigen from. The highlight is the hands-free headstand without lunge at a swinging trapeze in 10 meters height. Romantic, exciting, breathtaking.

David - Rola-Rola-artistry
Originally from China comes one of the most oldest Circus Arts, the Rola-Rola. Here, the artist stands on a board that is on stacked cylindrical tubes. Here, David is aiming high and piled one above the other up to five reels. The performance is exciting, amazing and also the humor is not too short.

Andre - Gala-Moderation
A familiar face is André for the regulars at the Trier Christmas Circus. He confidently through the program and is the link between the individual performances. He is also responsible for the smooth running of the show.
