Did you ever wonder what makes those muscles tone and firm or what it takes to put together a workout plan to look like all those celebrities in those magazines?

Chances are you do, and chances are you have taken advantage of it. The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America visited Spangdahlem Air Base to conduct an intense fitness workshop and certification seminar.

One hundred and twenty-five fitness enthusiasts traveled here from as far away as Italy, Spain and Turkey to join their German neighbors in this opportunity. The courses offered group exercise, spinning, yoga and personal training certifications.

An AFAA member said, "It was the biggest and most attended AFAA workshop in USAFE."

The Skelton Memorial fitness center staff had 12 staff members participate in the certification classes, gearing up to have more than 11 exercise specialists on staff at the fitness center.

What does that mean for the 52nd Fighter Wing? That means the fitness center can continue to offer more than 30 classes throughout the week, 21 of which are taught by the staff and volunteers. Whether it was for the opportunity to learn, or a way to teach others, Sabers responded with overwhelming attendance. With such a great turnout, it's no surprise we will see more fitness training among the 52nd Fighter Wing community.
