Airman 1st Class Adam Gibson, 52nd Maintenance Operations Squadron maintenance analyst, has been named the 52nd Fighter Wing's Top Saber Performer for the week of Jan. 4-10.

Name: Airman 1st Class Adam Gibson
Unit: 52nd Maintenance Operations Squadron
Duty title: Maintenance analyst
Hometown: Cheney, Wash.
Years in service: Two years
Why joined: I joined the Air Force to gain a college education since working part time wasn't working out too well. I never intended on seeing the world, but I've thoroughly enjoyed my assignment in Germany.
Family: I have two older brothers; one of which is a staff sergeant stationed at Moody Air Force Base, Ga.
Hobbies: I enjoy going to concerts, traveling and learning to play guitar.
Favorite aspect of job: I like being afforded the opportunity to work directly with aircraft maintenance unit leadership and addressing issues within the unit to U.S. Air Force Europe.
Most memorable Air Force experience: On Veterans Day 2006 I participated in the formation at Hamm Cemetery in Luxembourg. It was freezing outside, but it was easily the most fulfilling moment I have had in the short time I've been enlisted.
