Every week an Airman is chosen to be the Warrior of the Week. WoW's are Ali Base's finest Airmen, an example to others on how to optimize our core values. This week's WoW is Airman 1st Class Alexzandrea Sutsko.

Rank and Name: Airman 1st Class Alexzandrea Sutsko
Job Title: Force Protection Escort
Deployed Unit: 407th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron
Home Unit: 52nd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Spangdahlem AB, Germany
Hometown: San Antonio, Texas
Hobbies: "During the work week I am usually reading or trying to cook something edible, but on the weekend I like to go hiking, repelling, and rock climbing."

Why did you join the Air Force?
"For as long as I can remember I have been a part of the military. My grandfather was enlisted during World War 2 and my dad is active duty. It only seemed natural that I follow in their footsteps."

What inspires you?
"Absorbing priceless knowledge and practically applying it to complex situations inspires me, because knowledge and determination allow a person to succeed where another person may fail."

What is your most memorable Air Force experience?
"In October of 2007 NATO officers from France and Belgium came to my section at Spangdahlem AB to learn about our supply processes. The translator was unable to correctly translate some of the things our briefer was saying and I had to aid in the translation of English to French. This moment remains with me because at the time I had only been in the military a year, but I was given the opportunity to prove the knowledge I had for my career field."

Supervisor says:
"Airman 1st Class Alexzandrea Sutsko truly epitomizes the "Service Before Self" core value. She has excelled in all her assigned duties as a force protection escort. She provided security for contracts exceeding $6 million, maintaining control of more than 200 third country and local nationals. During her off time, Airman 1st Class Sutsko assisted in the force protection control section by revamping post books and revising the force protection recall roster. She began the first ever "FP Abs" class which meets three nights a week, helping to raise the overall fitness level of the entire flight. Due to her intense dedication to duty and country, she selflessly donates her time to the Ali Base Honor Guard team. Airman 1st Class Sutsko demonstrated the core value of "Excellence in All We Do" when she volunteered her off duty time to help her original career field of logistics and supply by processing 100 incoming receipts, insuring accountability of over 300 items and inventorying 21,000 rounds of ammunition with zero discrepancies. Her drive and enthusiasm increase mission success and helps to boost morale of the entire FP flight."
