SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Senior Airman Kimberly Valenzuela, 52nd Contracting Squadron Contracting Specialist, has been named the 52nd Fighter Wing's Top Saber Performer for the week of June 27 through July 3.

Favorite aspect of job: Having the opportunity to communicate with and assist personnel from every squadron; there is something different going on every day
Most memorable Air Force experience: I have two that stand out when I was part of the Base Honor Guard: 1)I took part in a ceremony honoring a fallen pilot who graduated from Bitburg High School; he left behind a wife and four children who are the same age as my children; 2) When catching a HOP from Dover to San Antonio, due to very few passengers, I got the opportunity to sit in the cockpit with the pilot and the co-pilot; they gave me a headset to wear so I could hear everything that was being said by the pilot and by the air traffic controllers from nearby airports. It was almost like an incentive flight, but on a cargo plane.
