Military Working Dog Memorial

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – The base Honor Guard gave a 21-gun salute to honor the retired and fallen Military Working Dogs, during an MWD memorial, Sept. 3, 2008. The ceremony included a memorial plaque that honored 11 MWDs, five of which completed their military service and were adopted by their handlers. Over the last five years, MWD Agar served his handlers and the U.S. Air Force with loyalty and honor. He was retired from service and adopted by Sergeant Fuller, his handler of two and a half years.
