Theater costume competition

The Spangdahlem Base Theater held a costume competition along with free giveaways until midnight on Halloween night, Oct. 31, after the premier of "Mirrors." Contestants aged 17 or older were welcome. Prizes were awarded to both best and worst costumes. First-place winner Mark White dressed as the Joker and won a $25 gift card from the Army & Air Force Exchange Service. Second-place winners were Timmery and Rob; Timmery was a groupie and Rob was a rock star, and they won "The Nightmare before Christmas." Third-place winner Chuck Geiser dressed as a dead knight, and was given four movie passes. Winner of the worst costume was Kelly Cape who went as a homecoming queen. She won "House of Wax." Random prizes were also given to people who participated in the event. Zachary Galliett and Jenny Balagh each won $15 gift cards to AAFES. Deborah Hunt dressed as a gypsy and won "The Messengers." Paige James dressed as a gangster and won two movie passes.
