SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Staff Sgt. Patrick Weaver, 52nd Comptroller Squadron financial services supervisor, is the 52nd Fighter Wing's Top Saber Performer for the week of June 5-11, 2009.

Why joined: Was tired of bouncing from seasonal jobs of landscaping and roofing and wanted to find something better.
Family: Myself and my son Jonathan 6, kindergarten
Hobbies: Music, soccer and hockey
Favorite aspect of job: Travel and the ability to see the word.
Most memorable AF experience: My deployment to Manas, Kyrgyzstan, January to June 2007. I was the cashier for the Air Base Wing and my average transactions were $20,000 a day. This was a joint transition base for Operation Enduring Freedom; and a stop-off before the joint team entered Afghanistan. There was tremendous job satisfaction in taking care of airmen, soldiers, sailors and marines heading down range.
