The Brick House is hosting a "Your turf is mine" John Madden gaming tournament Saturday.

The grand prize is two tickets to an NFL game in London featuring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New England Patriots Nov. 25 at Wembley Stadium.

"This is an opportunity for individuals to come out and have a lot of fun in a Super Bowl party setting," said Theresa Madison, Eifel Community Center recreation technician.

There is a $10 registration fee to participate in the competition, open to Sabers age 18 and older. Brick House doors open at noon, pre-game instructions start at 12:30 p.m. and the games kicks-off at 1 p.m. Players can choose to play on either an Xbox or Playstation 3; but the "Super Bowl" will be played on a PS3.

"I really want everyone to come out and support this event because Madden has such a huge following. Plus given his recent retirement and this being the game's 20-year anniversary, it's only right the Brick House do something this big to commemorate it," said Staff Sgt. Dwayne Satterwhite, event co-coordinator. "Overall it should be good times for everyone."

A live commentary of the event will be provided by Sergeant Satterwhite, 52nd Operations Support Squadron Saber Control NCOIC.

"I am looking forward to making fun of the participants and seeing how they react to being the punch line of all the jokes, and seeing if they can still make good decisions and play good football while the crowd is laughing at them," he said.

Spectators 18 and older are welcome to watch as five games unfold at the same time while cheering on their friends and family. Spectators don't have to pay an entry fee. Food and drinks will be provided.

"Everyone should expect a lot of fun, a lot of jokes and a lot of Madden," he said. "I repeat -- a lot of jokes. I am extremely disappointed I can't win, but if the MC's were to enter the competition; it would be completely lopsided. I just think it's only right to let others get a fair shot at the tickets. Next year we will definitely be competing, so I hope they enjoy it while it lasts."

The registration deadline is today. For more information or to sign up, call Mrs. Madison at 452-7260.
