A European style café opens 11 a.m. July 17 in Club Eifel here.

The Eifel Grind, located in what was once the officer's section of the club, is designed for a jazz-like atmosphere and offers coffee, indoor and outdoor seating, free wireless internet, and live entertainment Friday and Saturday nights.

The shop opens at 6:30 a.m. Monday through Sunday with a continental breakfast available, as well as European breakfast sandwiches. The breakfast will feature coffee, juices, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bakery pastries, breads, cheeses, cold cuts and scrambled eggs.

A selection of European sandwiches will be available throughout the day. This will include a Mediterranean grilled chicken wrap, an Italian caprese baguette, a summer Austrian vegetarian wrap and more.

In the evenings, the shop will provide coffee, cocktails and bar drinks.

"The [52nd Force Support Squadron, Club Eifel and our entire staff are so very happy to provide each and every one of you with a new destination on base to come and enjoy," said Duane Warren, Eifel Grind manager. "It's a place to relax and to enjoy great coffee, great food, great friends and great times."

The opening ceremony includes nearly $3,000 in prizes and giveaways.
