Name: Staff Sgt. David Brian Levine

Unit: 52nd Maintenance Operations Squadron

Duty title: Quality assurance munitions inspector

Hometown: Huntsville, Ala.

Years in Service: Eleven years

Why I joined: I joined to be a part of something greater than myself and, of course, to travel.

Family: Wife, Kristi Morrow; dogs, Annabelle and Brutis.

Hobbies: I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, running long distances to unwind and refinishing antique furniture.

Favorite aspect of job: I love being a mentor and seeing the impact well-structured on-the-job training can have on a unit.

Most memorable Air Force experience:
I remember when I returned from Afghanistan in 2003 and received a handshake and "thank you" from a random stranger at the airport. Experiencing our nation's support first hand is an indescribable feeling.

How do you make responsible choices:
I make responsible choices every day by having a concrete plan and sticking to it. Whether it is reaching a personal goal or maintaining a solid work ethic, I always have a plan.
