Two U.S. Air Force service members stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19), March 26, 2020.

The members were isolated March 22 after experiencing symptoms and conducting a public health screening that deemed them to be at risk of having been exposed to COVID-19. The members will remain in isolation for a minimum of 14 days or until they can be confirmed as recovered.

There are no other cases at this time, and all members who may have come in contact with the confirmed individuals are being contacted and put into quarantine for 14 days.

The public health office is continuing to monitor the situation and is conducting virtual screenings of members who feel they may be at risk.
