Self Care & Well-Being

Confidential counseling, resilience tools and behavioral health support are available across the installation.

Military & Family Life Counselors (MFLC)

We have experienced and licensed counselors on staff ready to provide confidential (except for duty-to-warn harmful situations) counseling to service members and their families. Services and talks are not reported to command and will not affect career or security clearance.

Chaplain Corps

Offers individual and marital counseling with 100% confidentiality. Those seeking services do not need to identify with a particular religion or be spiritual.

Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH)

Located in the Spangdahlem Medical Clinic within the Primary Care Clinic and available to dependents.

Integrated Resilience Office (IRO)

Offers tools, classes and events to help foster a resilient Spangdahlem community, focusing mental, physical, social and spiritual fitness.

Family Advocacy Program (FAP)

Offers classes such as parenting and communication workshops, activities, services and counseling for household members. Also provides 24/7 Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate Services (DAVA).

Family & Kids

Childcare support, school resources and family programming during deployments.

Child & Youth Programs (CYP) / Family Child Care (FCC)

Offers 16 hours of free childcare each month of deployment. For extended deployments, a Squadron Commander–signed memorandum is required.

School Liaison Program

Central point of contact for commanders, military families and school districts on Pre-K to 12th grade school matters. Provides kits and resources to children of deployed members.

Offers information and referral, deployment briefings, Hearts Apart events, coloring books, bracelets and other items.

Education, Legal & Financial Readiness

Support for powers of attorney, wills and financial planning while your spouse is deployed.

JA / Legal Assistance

Can assist service members and their families with Powers of Attorney (POA) and wills. To begin the process, use the Air Force Legal Assistance site.

Sexual Assault Prevention & Response (SAPR)

Available to service members and dependents over the age of 18 regarding matters of sexual assault and harassment. There is no time limit for reporting, including incidents prior to military service.

Deployment support is a community effort — unit leaders and helping agencies work together to support families at home.

First Sergeants and Commanders’ Key Support Liaisons can help connect you to the right helping agency and ensure your concerns are routed quickly.

Mental Health Clinic (MHC)

Offers therapy, psychiatry/medication, substance abuse therapy and marital therapy (service members only). Offers group therapy (topics may include mental well-being, dialectical behavior, communication skills, sleep and ADHD).
