Chief Master Sergeant EVAN R. SERPA

Chief Master Sergeant Evan R. Serpa is the Command Chief of the 52nd Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. As the Wing’s senior enlisted leader, he is the primary advisor to the commander on all matters concerning operations, health, morale, welfare, readiness, training, quality of life, professional development, and utilization of more than 5,000 personnel assigned to the Wing. His leadership is essential to the appropriate maintenance, employment, and deployment of F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft and $6 billion of assets used in support of United States and North Atlantic Treaty Organization missions. The wing supports the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe with mission-ready personnel and systems providing expeditionary air power for suppression of enemy air defenses, counterair, air interdiction, and close-air support.

Chief Serpa grew up in Redding, California and enlisted in the Army in September of 2000, and then in the Air Force in February of 2006. After completion of the Tactical Air Control Party pipeline, he began serving at assignments in PACAF, ACC, DIA, AFSOC, and JSOC. He has deployed numerous times in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL. Throughout his career he has served in various leadership positions, as an Operations Manager while serving in a diplomatic capacity, and as a Detachment, Squadron, and Group Senior Enlisted Leader.
