Top Saber Performer
SPANGDHALEM AIR BASE, Germany --
Staff Sgt. Caitlin Kempf, 52nd Communications Squadron Voice Networks Craftsman, has been named the 52nd Fighter Wing's Top Saber Performer for the week of April 18-24.

Why joined: I wanted to travel, and didn't have much of a plan for my future, so I let the Air Force decide for me.

Hobbies: Snowboarding, traveling, mountain biking, reading
Favorite aspect of job: Pushing out new telephone technologies like Voice over Internet Protocol reminds me that my job is always improving and changing, but there will always be a need for a person like me: "your local phone guy."
Most memorable Air Force experience: My first deployment 4 ½ years ago. My Combat Comm unit set up Balad AB from a bare base status. It was awesome to see how all aspects of Comm intertwined to produce dial tone, network connectivity, plus radio and Giant Voice communications.
