SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany --   With a few exceptions, it is prohibited to mail personal items while changing assignments or while on temporary duty. Exceptions would be uniforms and personal gear required to perform official duties at next duty station. 

Assigned post office boxes cannot be used for business, commercial purposes, or to receive mail from unauthorized individuals or organizations. Abuse could mean having mail privileges revoked. Questions about home businesses can be answered by the housing office at DSN 452-7133. 

The Spangdahlem and Bitburg Post Offices have changed operating hours. 

Spangdahlem hours: 

Customer service: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; closed on weekends 

Finance window: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; closed Sunday 

Parcel pick up window: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; closed Sunday 

Bitburg Hours: 

Tuesday and Thursday; finance, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; parcel pick up window, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
