National Police Week kicks off with SFS displays
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Military working dogs and their handlers demonstrate how three dogs can be used to subdue a single suspect as a part of National Police Week outside the Spangdahlem Commissary May 14. The 52nd SFS put on multiple demonstrations such as military working dog capabilities, weapons and combat vehicle displays and taser demonstrations to give spectators an insight into various aspects of security forces capabilities. National Police Week is held annually during the week of May 15 and honors all law enforcement members who have died. National Police Week events continue this week with an annual ruck march around the base May 16 at 10 a.m. and the defender decathlon May 17 beginning at 9 a.m. on Perimeter Road here.
