10/2/2012 - SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Airmen from the 52nd Mission Support Group flip a tire at the Skelton Memorial Fitness Center Sept. 28 during the iron flight competition segment of Spangdahlem’s sports day event. The iron flight competition tests once every quarter, the strength, speed and endurance of a team consisting of up to five males and at least one female representing their group. More than 500 Airmen participated in sports day events throughout the day. The purpose of the event was to raise morale and camaraderie base wide through a day of friendly competition. The iron flight competition tests once every quarter the strength, speed and endurance of a team consisting of up to five males and at least one female representing their group.
