9/5/2012 - SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- For 23 days in December, 2012, the Air Force Personnel Center will shut down the Military Personnel Data System, the system by which personnel records are updated, tracked and maintained.
The downtime from this shutdown will provide an opportunity for an upgrade to the system's sustainability, reliability and security.
There are several actions and applications deadlines that of which MilPDS users need to be aware. The goal of Spangdahlem's military personnel section is to input as much as possible before MilPDS goes down.
Consider making decisions and acting earlier than usual to assure personnel needs are met.
