Mission
"To provide safe, reliable aircraft, equipment, and munitions maintenance to the 52d Fighter Wing in support of USAFE and NATO objectives."

Personnel and Resources
The 52d Equipment Maintenance Squadron is a worldwide deployable unit comprised of personnel from 17 different AFSCs who are organized into five diverse flights. The squadron supports maintenance activities at home and abroad in support of Spangdahlem's 29 F-16 and 22 A-10 fighter aircraft.

Organization
The 52d Equipment Maintenance Squadron is organized into five flights, Aerospace Ground Equipment, Armament, Fabrication, Maintenance, and Munitions. Aerospace Ground Equipment Flight, more commonly known as AGE Flight, is responsible for providing and maintaining both powered and non- powered Aerospace Ground Equipment to support all aspects of the wing's mission. Armament Flight is responsible for performing intermediate maintenance actions on all assigned fighter aircraft armament systems, guns, pylons, racks, launchers, and adapters. Fabrication Flight provides structural maintenance, metals technology, survival equipment, and non-destructive inspection services in support of all flying operations. Maintenance Flight is responsible for a variety of support functions including Repair and Reclamation, Wheel and Tire, Inspection, Refurbishment, and Transient Alert. Closing out the squadron with a bang is Munitions Flight which controls, accounts for, stores, ships/receives, inspects, maintains, assembles, and delivers both conventional and precision munitions.

Highlights
As the winner of the 2009 Maintenance Effectiveness Award for the United States Air Forces in Europe, the 52d Equipment Maintenance Squadron continues to set the standard for safe and effective maintenance practices across the entire Air Force Maintenance Community. Having represented Spangdahlem AB and the United States in several countries around the world on a variety of different missions, the 52d EMS welcomes future challenges with its motto, "Bring it On!"
