Spangdahlem AB F-16s participate in large force exercise

A U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon, assigned to the 480th Fighter Squadron, takes off at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, to participate in a large force exercise within the North Sea airspace, U.K., May 27, 2020. The North Sea airspace provides the capability for aircrew to train against a high end near-peer threat. Additionally, aircrews are able to pair multiple fourth generation platforms together to increase interoperability and maximize capabilities of participating aircraft.
