US Airmen support first ever hot pit refuel in Poland

U.S. Air Force Airmen from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, refuel a returning U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft at Lask Air Base, Poland, June 9, 2014. The Polish Air Force refuels aircraft during the daily flying operations, while the U.S. Air Force executes hot pit refueling, which shortens the flying window and increases capability to fix aircraft in a timely manner. This is the first time it has been done in Poland by U.S. Forces. Their efforts support Exercise EAGLE TALON, BALTOPS 14 and U.S. Aviation Detachment Rotation 14-3.
