US Airmen support first ever hot pit refuel in Poland

U.S. Air Force Airmen stand with Polish partners after a successful refueling operation at a hot refueling pit on Lask Air Base, Poland, June 9, 2014. The Polish fire rescue men stood watch for the U.S. Airmen who refueled four U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft at a hot refueling pit, which refuels aircraft while the engine continues to run. These aircraft were a part of U.S. Air Force Aviation Detachment Rotation 14-3, which provides a continuous U.S. presence in Eastern Europe, and supported combined Polish-led Exercise EAGLE TALON and U.S. Navy-led BALTOPS 14.
