Airmen honor life, accomplishments of Lt. Gen. Leo Marquez
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Capt. James Schmidt, 81st Fighter Squadron pilot, speaks about the career of Lt. Gen. Leo Marquez at a dedication ceremony at the Eifel Community Center here Jan. 31. Airmen attended the event to honor the achievements and contributions Marquez made to the Air Force in his 33 years of service. Some of Marquez’ additions include the implementation of the Air Force Combat Ammunitions Center — an advanced training course for munitions Airmen — and the maintenance badge that all Air Force maintainers now wear.
