"Are you going to the Christmas circus this year?" People have been asking this question a lot recently and it is quite obvious that the 9th annual Weihnachtszirkus of Trier has started to become a traditional treat in the Trier region and broader Eifel area.

According to organizers, this year's Weihnachtszirkus will promise to be a spectacular show again for the 2013 holiday season, by featuring many acrobatic highlights, funny clown acts and lots of lovely animal shows. The circus is especially attractive to families with smaller children and all circus lovers. As always, Santa Claus will celebrate a holiday party with the circus visitors.

Highlights of this year's show include the Ukrainian group SEVRIUKOW on a flying trapeze, presenting breath-taking jumps and swings in a height of approximately 12 meters as well as acrobatic rope jumping acts; Andy Ortmann, showing off animals to include camels, giraffes, lamas, zebras, exotic cattle and much more; Ludwig Navratil juggling balls and bulky items with his feet; the Duo Urunow, presenting a speed clothes changing show; Laura Urunov, offering extraordinary dog acts; the Salvini-Clowns presenting funny entertainment, and a horse gala show with the Duo Urunov, who have won several prizes at the International Circus Festivals of Montecarlo and Massy with their performances before.

Every year, base members receive a warm welcome from the circus staff at the event.
The debut takes place at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 23 this year.

A separate lobby festival tent will be set up for this event. It will be decorated for the holidays. Snacks and beverages can be purchased prior to the shows and during intermissions.

Free snacks will be available to the visitors following the debut show, Dec. 23.

Tickets, which typically sell fast, can be reserved at info@smile-show.de or 0172-830-5699 and ask for Mr. Oliver Haeberle.

The ticket office also has its own webpage at www.weihnachtscircus-trier.de.

Ticket prices range from 15 to 35 Euro depending on the date of the visit and the location of seats. Military I.D. cardholders will receive an entry price discount when presenting a valid ID card at the cashier.

Special offers are not valid for the front row "Loge" seats on any day of the event.

Shows will take place daily at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. except for Dec. 29 and Jan. 5, when there is one show at 11 a.m. and a second show at 3:30 p.m. There will be no shows on Dec. 24 or on New Year's Day.

A visit to this circus makes a wonderful Christmas gift for the entire family. It is recommended to show up about 30 minutes prior to starting time in order to find parking, to purchase tickets and to locate seats in time for the show to start. Shows average about two and a half hours in duration with one 15-minute intermission.
