NIEDERKAIL, Germany -- Star singers will visit Eifel residents on Jan. 6 in Niederkail. The holiday season in Germany ends with the visit and feast of the Magi. The event commemorates the journey of the Magi, or three wise men, who brought gifts to the infant Jesus in Bethlehem. Groups of adults or children walk from house to house dressed as the three wise men. They carry a star-shaped lantern on a stick and sing a song or say a religious poem at people's doors.
