SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Master Sgt. Carlos Crasta, 52nd Component Maintenance Squadron, runs while holding two 85 pound dumbbells during the Iron Flight Competition at the track here March 28. The quarterly competition is an incentive program intended to build comraderie and test the mental and physical endurance of the participating squadron members. Four teams participated in the six-person team competition that consisted of three different events. Default Air Force Logo Base theater reopens April 4
The base theater is scheduled to reopen April 4.Ceremonies begin at 5:15 p.m. with the first movie showing of "Wrath of the Titans" in 3-D at 7 p.m. and the second showing at 9:30 p.m.The theater has been closed for nearly three months for renovations and upgrades. SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Mother, Constance Besaw; daughter, Staff Sgt. Emma Hicks, 52nd Force Support Squadron; and granddaughter, Zoe Hicks, reunite March 26 at the Spangdahlem School Age Programs building after Hicks returned three weeks early from a deployment to southwest Asia. Besaw works with the base’s information, tickets and travel office and stayed with Zoe throughout Hicks’ deployment. SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Construction continues on the new traffic circle into the northwest-expansion area here March 26. The main gate will be closed for construction to the traffic circle until April 5. The South Gate will be open for inbound and outbound traffic until construction is complete. Gate 2 will be open Monday through Friday to inbound traffic 6:30 – 8:30 a.m. and outbound traffic 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. from Memorial Drive only.
