The Combined Federal Campaign recently kicked off here and will run for approximately nine weeks until Dec. 2, 2016.

The CFC’s theme, “Show Some Love,” marks the campaign’s 55th year of providing opportunities for Department of Defense service members, civilian employees and families to give to more than 2,600 international, national and public philanthropic organizations.

There are three options to give to a CFC charitable organization. Pledges can be made the traditional way, using a paper pledge card received from unit representatives. They can also be made via the internet through the online pledge assistant, which provides an electronic version of the pledge card, or e-Giving, a fully automated option.

“Personally, when I filled out my donation form, I felt happy knowing that I had the ability and opportunity to give back to wounded veterans,” said 2nd Lt. Alexander Harrison, 52nd Maintenance Squadron munitions flight commander. “Each person may have an emotional and/or personal connection with the cause they chose to donate to, which is truly what the campaign is all about.”

Both the online pledge assistant and e-Giving options can be found at http://www.cfcoverseas.org/. From the homepage, these programs can be accessed by clicking on the "Please Give" tab or by clicking on "For Contributors."

“I would ask everyone to reflect upon what they feel passionate about and show some love,” Harrison said. “Please seek out your unit coordinators to learn more about what makes CFC a great opportunity.”
