Wittlich invites Spangdahlem community to annual Commerce Fair

The Wittlich Commerce Fair takes place Sept. 21 -24 here.

The fair will open Sept. 22 - 23 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The fair is the largest trade and commerce exhibition in the region. It features more than 231 businesses ranging from small family enterprises to world-renowned companies.

The enterprises there include construction workers, furniture makers, insurance companies, car dealers, cosmetic and wellness studios, computer specialists, energy conservation businesses, Red Cross and welfare associations, forest administrations, architect businesses, and travel agencies.

A variety of entertainment will be offered at this year's commerce fair. Entry is free to all events. A free park and ride shuttle bus will go back and forth to the fairgrounds from the center of town and local parking spots. Signs will be set up to with directions.

A large car show, featuring more than 200 vehicles from 13 different brands, will take place outside the halls for people to enjoy. Test driving will be possible.

Health and fitness lectures as well as a few demonstrations take place 1:30 - 4:45 p.m. Sept. 23.

The official opening of the fair took place at 10 a.m. Sept. 21 here. Joachim Rodenkirch, mayor of Wittlich, thanked guests and representatives from the political, economic, and cultural societies for their support and attendance at the fair. Among invited guests was Col. Joseph McFall, 52nd Fighter Wing vice commander. The Wittlich mayor expressed his thanks to the vice commander and Spangdahlem Air Base for continuous support and engagement.
