SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany --

Name: Staff Sgt. Julio Galvan

Unit: 704th Munitions Support Squadron

Duty title: NCO in charge of plans and programs

Hometown: Pharr, Texas

Years in Service: 13 years

Why joined: I wanted to be part of something that would make me feel proud. I have accomplished that by making the best decision of my life, being a member of the U.S. Air Force.

Family: My wife, Mayra, and three sons, Gabriel, Ariel and Gael.

Hobbies: Traveling throughout Europe with my family and working on my vehicles

Favorite aspect of job: Knowing my job and having supervision and members trust me for being knowledgeable on what I do.

Most memorable Air Force experience: My best memories are all almost the same; they all consist of someone reaching up to help individually or as a group. That is something someone always remembers.

How do you make responsible choices: By learning from successes and failures. Making responsible choices involves accepting responsibility of our actions, good or bad, and taking action when needed. I focus on recognizing and reinforcing the good, while stopping or preventing the bad.
